<ul>
<li>  identify the branches of science, the scientist,  and their jobs</li>
<li> explain the difference between observations and inferences</li>
<li>describe scientific methods including the process of developing a hypothesis and testing the hypothesis through a controlled experiment</li>
<li>collect and analyze data using metric  measurements and  tools</li>
